Jim "I Don't Know Anything About Finance" Flaherty strikes again!

Custom Direct Income Fund is about to be sold, locking in a loss for me of 25% and removing a nice chunk of my retirement cash flow. Listed in the Board's reasons for the action - "the recently proposed changes to the taxation of income funds by the government of Canada have depressed trading values and created uncertainty ..." will this madness ever end? Let's get these clowns out of office!"

Brent spent 20 years in the Canadian Securities Industry, most recently as Executive Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets for a major bank owned dealer. Prior to that Brent worked in the Canadian Oil and Gas Industry and the Canadian Automotive Industry.. Brent has an MBA from Queen's University and a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto.
